Monday evening he turned up at the flat. (Hemingway)
-
On Saturday afternoon he went to the National Gallery. (Maugham)
-
We are very sorry to drag you here on a Sunday afternoon. (Shaw)
-
He goes shopping on Tuesday and Friday morning. (LDCE)
-
I saw him on Sunday morning. (ALD)
-
Saturday evening they went solemnly to the motion pictures. (Lewis)
-
Why don't you come round Monday evening? (BEU) 你为什么不在星期一晚上来呢? on that day/that day
(1)We met on that day.
(2) We met that day.
1 We met on the following day.
-
{We met the following day.
-
[on the following weekend
-
3 On Sunday(s) we usually go for a walk.
- we usually go for a walk.
4 I'll see you on Monday.
- {I'll see you Monday.
5 We do our work on Saturdays. (LDCE)
- {I work Saturdays. (LDCE)
