arrive at/in/on

一般而论，到达某个洲、国家、省、大城市用 in，到达某个小镇、村、小岛、飞机场、车站等处所用 at。例如：

1. He arrived in Britain in 1978... 他于 1978 年到达英国……

2. We arrived at the hotel at last after midnight. 午夜之后我们终于到达了旅馆。

[附注]A. 如果把到达的地点看作一个平面, 也可以用 arrive on(upon):

1. Before eight o'clock next morning he arrived upon the scene by car. 次日早8点前,他乘

车来到了现场。

2. We arrived on the platform just as the train was coming in. 火车刚进来,我们就到了月台。B. arrive 用作比喻义时,用 arrive at (an agreement, a decision, a conclusion),不用 arrive in:

3. I wish he would arrive at some conclusion. 但愿他会得出某种结论。

4.
