据我所知, liberty 是个不可数的抽象名词, 为什么它有复数形式, 为什么又可以带不定冠词呢?

英语里有许多不可数名词,可以转化为可数名词,但是在转化时几乎总是伴随着意义上的变化,例如,wood(木材)→woods(森林),death(死亡)→deaths(死者),beauty(美丽)→beauties(美人),damage(损失)→damages(赔偿金),ash(灰)→ashes(骨灰)。当 liberty 作“自由”解时,是不可数名词,但是当它作“随便”“冒昧”“休假”解时,它就变成可数名词了。下面是几个 liberty 用作可数名词的例子:
