我认为上面的句子也可以写成：
B. The children will have a garden which to play in.

在动词不定式中关系词与介词的关系不同于定语从句。句(1)B是正确的，而句(2)B却是错误的(参见infinitive ，prepositions )。应改为：
The children will have a garden to play in(或 in which to play).
