have got to

have got to 同 have to, must 一样, 也可以用来表示推论或逻辑上的必然性(参见 have to, must)。上面句子的意思是: 这里一定有什么错误。类例:

1. Someone has got to be telling lies. 一定有人在说谎。

2. “I have ten sons and ten daughters.” “Twenty children? You've got to be joking!” “No, it's a serious matter, believe me.” (Leech) “我有十个儿子和十个女儿。” “二十个孩子？你一定在开玩笑吧！” “没有，相信我，这是真的”。
