consider...as

有的语法学家把 consider...as 斥为典型错误。例如，F. Crews 教授就曾说过：“When consider means regard, it shouldn't be followed by as: He considered me(as) his friend. The error is common because regard does take as.” (The Random House Handbook, New York, 1974, p.229) 许多国外考题持有这样的观点，例如日本浜松医大的英语试题就将“We consider him as the best candidate.”判为错句（《英语基本300题》，东京，p.75），但是这种用法，在英语文学作品、科技作品中俯拾即是。在 TOEFL 的试题中也不乏这种用法，例如：

Science and the humanities can not be considered as rivals in education, but rather as friends working together toward the same objectives. (TOEFL)

consider...as 这个格式也得到了语言学家们的普遍承认。

1. They considered it $\$left\{ \begin{array}{l} \text{to be} \\ as \end{array} \right\} beautiful. (GCE, p. 852)

2. He was considered as a kind of god by the natives. (Practical English Usage, p. 155)

R. Quirk 等人明确指出,如同 regard as, class as 一样,consider as 代表的是另一类介词动词,即后面跟的是介词宾语补足语,而不是介词宾语:

We considered him $\$left\{ \begin{array}{ll}\text{a genius.}\\ \text{as a genius.}\\ \text{to be a genius. (CGEL, p. 1200)} \end{array} \right.

他们还进一步指出,下列各句中的任何一句我们都可以说或写:

I consider her my friend. ~ I consider her as my friend. (CGEL, § 1.39)

consider...x/to be x

我认为 consider it a great honour 同样是正确的。我也有托福题为证：

应当牢记,consider + 宾语(0) + 宾语补足语(C)有三种正确的结构:
