我已经知道, though (although)... but 是中国人常犯的典型错误。但是, though... yet 为什么就不是典型错误呢? but 和 yet 同是连词, 为什么用法有这么大的区别?
首先应当肯定,though...yet 是正确的英语格式:

Though he is poor, yet he is satisfied with his situation. (CGEL) 尽管他很穷，但他对他的境况是满意的。

Though the sore be healed, yet a scar may remain. (Prov) 伤口虽愈合伤疤却永留。
为什么在这里可以用 yet, 而不能用 but 呢? 因为 but 是并列连词, 而 yet 却是个副词。副词 yet 与从属连词 though 并用, 可产生关联关系。除 yet 之外, 在含有让步状语从句的主句中还可以使用 nevertheless, still 等副词:

Although (Though) admission was free, nevertheless few people attended the lecture. 尽管免费入场，但听演讲的人却不多。

Although he was ill, yet/still/nevertheless he managed to look careful. (《新编英语语法》) 虽然他病了，但他尽力显出很注意的样子。

CGEL 明确指出：
“...formal correlation contributes both to stylistic elegance and to textual clarity (especially where the two parts to be connected are long and complex).”
[“正式的关联词语（指 though/although... yet/still/nevertheless 等等）不仅能使文体优雅，而且还能使句子的前后关系明确（当两个相关联的部分长而复杂的时候，尤其如此）。”]据此可以证明，though...still 条中所列出的全国高考是可以选 D 的。
