许多语法书上说,像 If you take this road you are going to get home quicker. 这样的句子是病句,因为 be going to 不能用在带条件从句的主句中。这种说法对吗?
对这一点不同的语言学家抱有不同的观点。G. Leech 和 M. Swan 均认为在带有条件从句的主句里不能使用 be going to, 并提出了典型的错误例句：
Your marriage is never going to fail if you keep buying her flowers.
× If I give you money, you're only going to spend it on drink.
LEG(p.344)则认为,be going to 可以用在带条件从句的主句中:
If you invite Jack, there's going to be trouble. 如果你邀请杰克，那就要惹麻烦了。
R. Quirk 等人虽然在正文里提出, be going to 一般不用于带条件从句的主句中。但在其他地方却指出下列句子是可以接受的:
