by contrast 与 in contrast 有无区别?

in contrast[with(to)]与 by contrast(with)在语义上是相同的,都表示“与……相比较”“与……相反”“与……相对照”。但 by contrast 常常用作句子状语,而 in contrast with(to)主要用作表语和动词的状语:
