(1)She tried to explain the situation, saying ‘It’s only me’, but it was too late. (New Concept English, Book 3, L. 13)
(2) So I said, “But didn’t you eat any of the famous French food?” “What? Me?” he said, “of course not!”
-
是我。
-
He hoped the passenger would be Mary and indeed it was she. (GCE)
-
A. Who is there?
B. B.
-
I saw her with them; at least, I thought it was her. (CGEL)
-
It's not me who's proud.
-
“Hey, are you Dr Deadrock?”—“That’s me.”
-
A: I hear you're a professor. B: Me a professor!
-
“The food has been getting worse. I really want to stop eating there.”
-
A: Who's there? B: Me. (CGEL) 是我。
-
A: I said, "I'm in love." B: "Me too." (G. Greene) B: “我也是。”
-
I wanted to say, “Bill’s been elected, not me!” (Hillary, Living History)
-
He in a plaid shirt, drinking coffee, and me in a navy blue sweater and skirt ... (Hillary, Living History)
