any one/anyone

在 any one 中, any 是形容词, one 是数词, 而 anyone 是不定代词。any one 与 anyone 在意义和用法上大致有如下区别:

A. anyone 只能用于指人,而 any one 既可用于指人,也可用于指物:

1. Did anyone call when I was out? 我不在的时候有人来过(来过电话)吗?

2. Anyone can do that. 谁都可以做这件事。

3. A: Do you know them all? B: I don't know any one of them. A: 你全都认识他们吗? B: 他们之中我一个也不认识。

4. A: Which dictionary do you want? B: Any one will do. A: 你要哪本辞典? B: 哪一本都行。

B. 在 anyone 与 any one 指人时, anyone 具有泛指意义或整体意义, 而 any one 则具有个体意义 (含有数目意义):

1. Anyone who is over sixteen is allowed in. 凡超过 16 岁者都可入内。

2. He can beat any one of you. 他能击败你们之中的任何一个人。

C. any one 可接 of 短语, 而 anyone 不可以接 of 短语。

Any one of us is liable to fall ill. 我们之中的每个人都容易生病。

D. anyone 用于整体意义时,与其有关的代词可采用复数形式(参见 everybody...he/they):

1. Anyone can enter for the competition, can't they? 任何人都可以参加竞赛,是不是?
