not A and B
Bob didn't break the window and refuse to apologize for his action.
not A and B 应当注意, not A or B 是把 A 和 B 当作分离的个体逐个地加以否定:
-
He can't read or write.
-
They never dance or sing.
而 not A and B 则是把 A 和 B 看作一个结合起来的整体加以否定,即 not[A+B]。[问]句的实质是: did not [break the window and refuse to apologize for his action], 即把“打破窗户”和“拒绝为此道歉”结合为一个整体而加以否定的(参见 or )。
