continue

及物动词 continue 表示“继续做某事”，其间可能有中断，也可能没有中断：

1. We continued working until five o'clock. (中间无间断) 我们连续工作到 5 点。

2. He continued his talk after the interval. (中间有间断) 休息后他继续作报告。

go on doing 通常表示 continue 的第一种意思, go on with 可表示 continue 的第二种意思。

go on 比 continue 更加口语化(参见 go on doing/go on with)。

1. I went on working. 我一直工作着。

2. Go on with your work. 继续干你的活。
