simple present tense ³

用一般现在时来表示将来,主要出现在时间状语从句(when, before, after, until, as soon as 从句)和条件状语从句(if, unless 从句)中(参见 simple present tense $^{8}$ )。

1. When he comes I will tell him to fetch the police. 当他来的时候,我要告诉他去找警察。

2. I'll take an umbrella if it rains later on. 要是一会儿下雨,我就拿一把伞。

3. I'll give it to him as soon as he comes back. 他一回来我就把这个给他。
