句(1)是错误的,而句(2)是正确的。要记住,escape作“逃跑”“逃出”解时,是个不及物动词:
Soon the whole floor was on fire and it was impossible for people on the floors above to escape. 整层楼很快就烧起来了,因此,上面各层的人是不可能逃出来的。
