句(A)和句(B)都把宾语放在句首,为什么前者采用主谓正装语序,而后者采用主谓倒装语序呢?
为简便计,可以把宾语倒装分成两种情况:
A. 宾语提前是为了与上文联系得更为紧密,或者概括地说,宾语提前是为了让宾语传递已知信息,避开表达信息核心的句尾位置,在这种情况下,宾语提前不要求主谓倒装。例如:

She showed me the second letter; the first I have already seen. (UGE) 她给我看了第二封信, 第一封信我已经看过了。

All these facts we have discussed... 所有这些事实我们都一一讨论过了……

This air we call the atmosphere. 我们把这种空气叫做大气。
B. 把否定句的宾语提前是为了表示强调,在这种情况下,主谓语要部分倒装。例如:

Not a single word did Peggoty speak. (Dickens) 帕高蒂一句话也没有说。

Not another penny need he expect from the family resources. (EGU) 他不需指望从家庭财产中再得到一个便士。
