both... and

上面两道试题有失误。首先应搞清 both... and(既……又……,……和……都)的用法。从句法上说，它可以连接同等成分(主语、宾语、表语、定语、谓语等)；从词法上说，它可以连接名词、代词、形容词、动词、短语等等。请分析下面的实例：

1. Both my mother and my aunt have red hair. 我妈妈和我姨妈都是红头发。

2. Both you and I were wrong. 你和我都错了。

3. She is both rich and intelligent. 她不但很阔而且很聪明。

4. He both speaks and writes English. 他不但会说而且会写英语。

5. In the program tonight Mary will both sing and dance. 在今天晚上的节目里,玛丽又要唱歌又要跳舞。

由上面的实例可以看出,试题(1)和试题(2)都可以选 both,and。

句意B:他和你都没有错。C:他和你都错了。

(2) A: 他不仅会写诗, 而且会作曲。 D: 他既会写诗, 又会作曲。

此外,试题(1)的选项 D(Either, or)和试题(2)的选项 C(neither, nor)也都是正确的,见 either...or, neither...nor $^{1,2}$ 。
