one or two/either one or two

一般地说,five or six 是指“五个或者六个”,ten or twenty 是指“介于 10 和 20 之间的一个数”,即“一二十个”。但是,one or two 却是一个惯用语,具有特殊的含义:a very few,a small number(少数,几个)。例如:

1. He has been away only one or two days. 他才走了几天。
