mend/repair/fix

mend是指不用复杂的技术和工具的“修理”。它的宾语通常是衣服、鞋、桌椅、玩具等小物品：

Can you mend this chair? 你能修好这把椅子吗？

Can you mind this chair: 你能修好这把制了吗:

repair 则是指需要一定的技术、对比较复杂的东西的“修理”。它的宾语通常是 road, watch, house, car, machine:

1. Can you repair my car? 你能修理我的汽车吗?

2. I'll have my TV set repaired today. 今天我要叫人来修理我的电视机。

fix(up)主要用于美国英语,可表示 mend 和 repair 的含义:

1. I'll fix that broken chair today. 今天我要修理那把破椅子。

2. The light isn't working — can you fix it? 这盏灯不亮了——你能修好吗？

3. I'll have my TV set fixed. 我要叫人把我的电视机修理一下。
