passed/past

passed 是动词 pass(vt, vi 经过、通过、传递) 的过去式和过去分词:

1. He passed the park. (Hill) 他从公园旁走过去。

2. The evening passed quickly. (Cronin) 晚上很快就过去了。

3. Do you think you've passed the test? (LDCE) 你认为你通过了考试吗?

而 past 可用作名词、形容词、介词和副词，绝不能用作动词(见 past $^{1}$ ):

1. Forget these past unhappy things. 请忘记过去那些不愉快的事情吧。

2. The danger is past. 危险已过去了。

3. We cannot change the past. 我们无法改变过去。

4. The boy rushed past us. (LDCE) 这孩子从我们旁边冲过去。

5. He ran passed my house just now.

6. She past her examination.
