该文译者没有注意到 There is nothing ... 用的是一般现在时。在讲故事的过程中突然插入了一个一般现在时,这说明这句话不是在讲故事,而是作者在发表议论。译者由于缺少这一参照点,而误认为这句话是在讲故事,结果译出了上面完全背离原意的句子。
