equipment/ apparatus

apparatus是指用于某种专门用途的一套装置、器械、仪表。除用作集合名词外，还可指具体的装置、器械和仪表。chemical apparatus(化学器械)，fire apparatus(消防器械)，medical apparatus(医疗器械)，heating apparatus(加热装置)，photographic apparatus(照相设备)。
