这里为什么不用 braver? 我认为 more brave 是错误的, 因为 brave 是个单音节形容词。

一般而论,单音节形容词是用屈折变化的方法(在词尾加-er 和 -est 的方法)来构成比较级和最高级的。但是下列三种特殊情况值得注意:
A. 有些单音节或双音节形容词在用作表语并且跟有 than 从句时, 常常用加 more 的方法构成比较级:
