在英语里有这样一种倾向: 在 love, like, hate 之后接动名词时, 表示经常的、习惯性的动作、正在进行的动作或过去的动作, 而在这些动词之后接动词不定式时, 则除表示经常的动作之外, 还可表示某一特定场合下将要进行的动作。上面的试题, 根据句意, 应属于后一用法, 故只能选 A。如果把 this evening 改为 in the evening, 就可以选 C 了。从下列实例, 你可以体会到 love to do 与 love doing 的相同之处和相异之处(参见 like to do/like doing):
