My aunt ____ to see us. She'll be here soon.
A. comes B. is coming C. had come(全国高考)
-
He's coming to see me soon. (Palmer)
-
I'm watching the play on television this evening. (Palmer)
-
I'm taking the children to the zoo (on Saturday). (CGEL)
He said they were coming this morning.
(参见 come , present continuous tense )
①come
...as if they had been mere rats come out of their holes. (俞大纲主编《英语》第5册, p.200)句中的come out of their holes是否用错了。我认为应改为: coming out of their holes 。
请对比:falling leaves(正在降落的树叶)与fallen leaves(掉在地上的树叶)。 (参见falling/fallen)
come
he has come/he is come 见 go(have gone/be gone)
come and... 见 try and...
come
come dancing
Come dancing this evening.
在 come dancing(swimming, sight-seeing) 结构中, 现在分词 dancing 等为目的状语, 参见 go fishing。
come
come/get + to + 静态动词
Much to our surprise, she ____ to like Japanese food. A. has become B. becomes C. should come D. came
现代语言家们将 come to 以及 appear to, get to, happen to, seem to 看作是链接动词(catenative),后面跟动词不定式。
come to 常常与静态动词(如 know, understand, be, love, like, live)连用。 要想使这样的动词表达出有起点的意思,常常需要加上 come to 或 get to, 如 come to rest(静止下来), come(get) to love(爱上), come(get) to know (结识,认识上), come(get) to like(喜欢上)。
-
How did you come to know him?
-
I hope we shall be friends and come to understand one another.
-
I shall get to like them in time, I suppose.
-
I'll never get to understand him.
-
And for the first time, I came to realize how my personal choices could impact my husband's political future. (Hillary, Living History)
come
come/go
I won't go to the dance unless you come with me 为什么不用...you go with me?
Are you going to the dance with your wife? (不能用 come) 但是这句里有 I 与 you, 而且以 I 为主, 以 you 为次; 由 I 来看, you come, 即我去, 你也跟我来, 不再是 go 了。
-
I'm going to pay a visit in a slum this afternoon. Would you like to come? (Sinclair)
-
I've got the tickets, and I wondered if you'd like to come with me. (Priestley)
-
Just then, the telephone rang. It was my aunt Lucy. 'I've just arrived by train,' she said. 'I'm coming to see you.' (New Concept English, Book 2, L. 2)
I'm not going unless you go with me. come
