“× Where I come from, we are not accustomed to see so many things in the shops.
√ Where I come from, we are not accustomed to seeing so many things in the shops.
但是我在《韦氏辞典》中却查到了这样的例子:accustomed to paint their faces before battle 打仗前习惯于画花脸
“Unlike accustomed, however, used does not occur with a following infinitive.” (p. 1222)
We are accustomed to take tea on the terrace. [formal]
-
Mrs. Babbitt was not accustomed to leave home during the winter. (Lewis).
-
She belongs to that class of people who are accustomed to have their own way. (Sinclair)
-
Mrs. Duer was accustomed to sneer at carelessness. (Lewis)
